SB Blue Dress Progress: Bodice

Since I've already made the pink dress for my favorite Disney Princess, Aurora, I might as well show everyone the Progress of the Blue dress!

Here we have the completed Bodice! The sleeves are matte satin, The shoulder piece is rose satin brocade that I decorated with Swarovski flat back crystals in Sapphire, emerald, and ruby (and yes, this is meant to symbolize the 3 good Fairies and obviously the sapphires are bigger than the rubies because how Merryweather wanted the dress to be blue! And on the pink dress it’s the same detail in Opposite), and the Bodice is costume satin with the center panels embellished with Hand embroidery and gold bead string and craft pearls and more sapphire Swarovski crystals in a smaller size! And of course there’s the center piece with a blue acrylic gemstone and more pearls and sapphire Swarovski crystals!

I made this WHOLE piece completely by hand! And NO sewing machines! Even the embroidery was done by hand! I did also before hand made a petticoat and the base skirt and the peplum, I just got to photograph the petticoat then the skirt after I put it together! Then when it’s all completed I’ll photograph it along with the pink dress!
