Night Watch: Gargoyle Defense Attorney

"This is NIGHT WATCH! With your Host, Travis Marshall!"


"Hello, I'm Travis Marshall, and joining me now on tonight's edition of the latest "Gargoyles" news on Night Watch is a Woman who has Appointed herself as a Defense Attorney for the Gargoyles, Jeana Hark! Ms.Hark, Thank you for coming by tonight!"

The camera then turns to show Travis Shaking hands with a young woman 24 years of age, with long dark blonde golden hair, icy blue eyes, and was wearing a teal blue suit skirt and matching jacket over a light pink blouse and a thin black belt around her waist and Black heals and small gold bead earrings.

"My pleasure Mr.Marshall! And Please call me Jeana!" said Jeana

"Of course, tell us Jeana", begun Travis, "Do yu really think the Gargoyles need a Defense Attorney?"

"Oh Yes Mr.Marshall" answered Jeana, "With all this Fear and Hate towards them from just about Every corner, from Citizens, to the Quarrymen, and to the A.D.A! Besides, if no one who disagrees with them takes a stand now, no one ever will."

"And what makes you wannah take on this task?" asked Travis

"I'm glad you asked Mr.Marshall! There are 2 reasons why!" begun Jeana, "Based on what someone I know who claims she's also had an experience up close with Gargoyles told me, and mostly based on an encounter I had of my own, Everything that John Castaway is telling his Quarrymen and Everything negative that A.D.A Margot Yale said about Gargoyles is WRONG! And I think Yale's suggestions on how to deal with the Gargoyles is CRUEL and INHUMANE! She Might as well want them Exterminated just like the Quarrymen! And as she's Part of the D.A's Office and the Adviser to the Gargoyles Task Force, I think it is Irresponsible for her and Everyone to just Assume that the Gargoyles are Monsters when She and Everyone Doesn't Know Anything about them. The only person in this city who seems to have his head in the right place is Head of the Gargoyle Task Force, Detective Matthew Bluestone, Who even Stated that there is NO Evidence that the Gargoyles are a threat! And everyone seems to have forgotten that 3 people were proven to be the Real Culprits behind blowing up the 23rd precinct and NOT the Gargoyles! One of Them's In Prison As we Speak"

"What about the 2nd reason to why you're doing this? And what makes you so certain that the Gargoyles are Not dangerous?" asked Travis

"The answer to those questions is the same Mr. Marshall!" said Jeana, "The Gargoyles SAVED my life in Times Square During The PACK's Attack, and as they did so one of them actually spoke to me and said and I Quote "You are Safe now!", and that most certainly is something that a monster would NOT Say or Do now is it?"

"hmm...I suppose not!" said Travis intrigued, "And do you have any worries what people who agree with the Quarrymen, or even the Quarrymen themselves, might say to you? Or even how they'll approach you?"

"Yes, I'm well aware of all the public risks I'm taking with this course of action, and I know a lot of people are going to think and say unpleasant things about me" said Jeana, "but from what I learned in Law school, it's really No different than what people think of lawyers who have to defend Human criminals whom Everyone Believes is really guilty! And if I can prove that the Gargoyles are Truly Good, Noble, and Innocent beings, I could Care LESS if everyone in this city Hates me or thinks I'm Crazy! I am willing to face being Ridiculed by Yale, and the Harassment of Angry Mobs, even the Wrath of the Quarrymen! Nothing they say or do is gonnah Stop me! The Gargoyles are NOT Monsters, and somehow I'm Going to Prove it!"

"Well I wish you good luck with your case! And thank you once again for joining us on Night Watch...." said Travis

And sure enough, everybody in New York saw this interview and had their own opinions on the matter.


At the Eyrie Building.....


"Well what do ye all think of that bit of news?" asked Hudson as he, the Clan, Elisa, and the Xanatos Family were watching the interview on the television

"Well whaddaya know?! we Got a Fan!" said Broadway

"Oh this is such Wonderful news" said Angela as she hugged Broadway's arm, "Someone who actually believes us and wants to defend us!"

"Hmph, About time!" said Brooklyn with a smirk of pride on his beak

"Yes...We can only hope that this will help bring a little light to our future!" said Goliath

"And for Once, there's a defense attorney I actually Like!" said Elisa

"It most certainly is promising!" said Xanatos as he kept his arm around Fox, who had just scooped up a sleeping Alex from Lexington's arms, and was cradling him into her own


However, at the A.D.A's office....


"HMPH! She's as CRAZY as Mr.Macduff!" scoffed Margot Yale to her husband who was there to take her home for the night as she turned off the television in her office, "The only thing She's going to get out of this is a lot of people, Including the Quarrymen, Mad!"

"Oh give it a rest Margot!" said Brendan as he gave Margot her coat and purse


Though she was right about part of it, for at the main head Quarters of the Quarrymen, The Quarrymen Brownstone, John Castaway furiously turned off the television in his office and was making a call on his phone

"Schedule and Send messages to Every Quarrymen member for another meeting here!" demanded Castaway, "The subject being on How we Quarrymen are to deal with Traitors to HUMANITY! And Yes, we WILL be mentioning the news about this Ms. Jeana Hark!"


  Meanwhile, in an apartment in a building in Chelsea, an exhausted Jeana Hark came in after a long trip home, since not a single taxicab would stop for her, and when she got on the subway she had to stand since Every empty seat was "Taken" and Other people deliberately ignored her, but she was not so surprised. Jeana sighed tiredly as she removed her jacket and collapsed on her couch as she kicked off her heals.

"This is only the beginning!" said Jeana as she glanced out the windows at the city and the night sky, knowing that her clients were out there somewhere at this time
