The Disney Home Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3: Welcome to our Home,Or Not



As they were getting closer and closer, Emily was beginning to see the whole details of this place. It was the biggest building Emily ever saw, and infact it was twice as big as Eyrie Building in the "Gargoyles" Series. It's architecture had many different features which one would find on a fancy castle and a palace and a grand hotel, all cleverly put together in one building. It consisted with a few towers of different kinds, some of them resembled the kind of towers that you'd find on a castle, the tops of some of the others even had penthouses, and some even had a set of out door stair cases that led into the towers. The colors of the walls consisted of a golden ivory color and some pinks and blues depending on the lighting from the sun and the outdoor lights. The roof tiles were blue but they could also appear purple, also depending on the lighting. As Brooklyn and Broadway were coming in for a landing at the front of the building, Emily could see what it looked like. In the front there was a long wide curved drive way that Characters who drove either carriages or cars could drive around or drop other characters off by the entrance. As for the entrance itself, it was curved at the top and it had a wide porch with 2 or 3 steps with a red carpet covering them that led inside, and it's doors were tall and made of glass with gold frames and hinges. Also as they were coming for a landing, Emily could see a whole bunch of Disney Characters entering the building, and waiting by the entrance was the whole Manhattan Clan, Goliath, Hudson, Lexington, Angela, Bronx the gargoyle dog, and even Elisa Maza.

"Well, Here we are!" said Broadway as he and Brooklyn landed

"Right on time guys!" said Elisa with a chuckle

Just after Broadway set Emily down, Bronx came trotting over to her, and after he gave her a few sniffs he started giving her licks on her cheeks, making her giggle as she pet him back. Emily has always been an animal lover. Then Angela came over to Emily with a warm motherly smile.

"Welcome to our home Emily!" said Angela as she knelt beside Emily and hugged her, cloaking her wings around her in the process

Emily just froze in amazement, not only has no one ever hugged her like this, but she finally realized that this was not a dream.

"Normally we would make introductions but I take it you already know who every character is, don't you?" said Angela

Being shy to speak, Emily just nodded.

"We should all be heading inside, dinner times almost ready and Mickey and the gang's waiting in the lobby for us!" said Elisa

"Indeed" said Goliath, before turning to Emily with a gentle look, "And we will answer your questions there Emily!"

And so the Gargoyles and Elisa led Emily inside the building, which was just as amazing as the outside.


After walking pass the large gold and glass doors, Emily now came into a large lobby with a few marble pillars here and there, and a wide open ceiling, in the very center of which was a large candle lit chandelier that had a fancy clock in it. The walls were Ivory with a peach tint to them depending on the lighting in the room, and the floors consisted of shiny lavender marble tiles with red carpets here and there. And from where she stood from the entrance, Emily saw a hallway on the right side of the lobby and another on the left side that she saw many Disney Characters heading towards, and on the left side of that busy hallway she saw 2 doors that were obviously the restrooms. And the last grand sight to take in was a large grand staircase, the structure of which resembled a combination of both, the palace staircase from "Cinderella", and the castle staircase from "Beauty and the Beast", in the far Corners of Lobby on both sides of the grand Staircase Emily saw 2 golden Elevators.

"Oh I know, it's all beautiful isn't it?!" said Angela to Emily as she gently placed her taloned hands on the girls shoulders

Emily just nodded. Suddenly, familiar dog barking was heard, and sure enough, a familiar yellow cartoon dog came leaping happily towards the Gargoyles.

"Hey Pluto!" said Lexington

Pluto then pounced on Lexington and Brooklyn, giving them a whole bunch of licks on the face.

"Yeah, we're happy to see you too boy! Now take it easy already!" laughed Brooklyn as he tried to turn his beak away

After giving them one last lick, Pluto then turned to Emily, and after giving her a few sniffs he gave her a big lick on the cheek before panting happily as Emily petted him back. Upon seeing Pluto here, the gargoyles knew the very characters that were waiting for them were here, and sure enough waiting in the center of the lobby was Mickey Mouse himself and the gang.

"Hiya guys!" called Mickey with a smile!

"Hey Mic!" said Broadway as he and the rest of the clan walked up to the group, with Emily, who was amazed to actually be seeing the most famous of all Disney Characters themselves, following behind

"H'yuck, And Howdy Emily!" said Goofy

"And Welcome to the Building!" said Donald

"We hope you made it here alright!" said Minnie kindly

"I...I think so!" answered Emily shyly

"Well, I think I know the 2 big questions you have kid" said Brooklyn, " What is this Place?! And Why you were brought here?!"

Emily nodded in response.

"Well Emily, this building and world is where every one of us Disney Characters live and resides!" said Mickey

"Yep, and we really do mean EVERY Character!" said Lexington

Hearing that also made Emily wonder what that also meant.

"And yes kid, unfortunately that also means that ALL of the Villains live here too!" said Elisa, already sensing what Emily was thinking

"Yeah, Including OURS!" frowned Brooklyn with a glare

"But don't worry!" said Broadway, " Not only do we have Strong Rules and a prison waiting if they break them, but they also live in the basement and they're not allowed to come up until it's time for everyone in the building to eat!"

"Aye, which leads to the one Most Important Rule you Must obey Lass!" begun Hudson, "Never go in the Basement!"

Emily shook her head, she would indeed not go in the basement

"Glad he didn't say that around the Genie!" Brooklyn muttered to Lexington and Broadway, "He would've broken into song! right after!"

"Now as for why you were brought here, well your wish was heard here and has been granted!" said Mickey

"Oh yes! Not only is this a home for us characters, but it's also a place where children such as yourself with difficult lives can escape to and start over!" explained Minnie

At this rate Emily didn't know how much more amazing all this could get. Her wish was coming true, and there were other children like her from the real world here.

"And in case you're wondering how many other kids are here, well including you now there's 4!" said Lexington

Emily was a little surprised upon hearing that.

" Yes I know it's low" said Angela a bit sadly, " And there Are supposed to be More!"

"Aye, but for some strange reason, it's very rare to the to the point where it barely happens!" said Hudson

"But don't ask why, even we we don't know!" said Brooklyn

"Yeah, we've just came ta figure that the place only opens up for kids that either Earned to be here or Need ta be here!" said Goofy

"But whenever one is granted passage here, we're always ready to welcome them here!" said Minnie

"And we'll also protect them here as well!" said Goliath

"Well said Goliath!" said Mickey, " You see Emily, not only do the Gargoyles here help the heroes protect the building and everyone inside, but we've also appointed them to be the official soul guardians and care takers of you and the other kids!"

"Yep, although mostly Lex, Bro and Myself will be with you guys!" said Brooklyn with a bit of Pride

"Along with some help from Cornelia!" said Lexington

'Cornelia?!' Emily asked in her mind, not knowing any character with that name

"That would be Me!" suddenly said an unfamiliar young girls voice that was right behind Emily as though it had read her mind


And when Emily Turned around, there standing, or rather floating a few inches above the ground, was a girl. Who looked around Emily's age, had fair skin and very long yellow golden hair that reached down to her ankles and emerald green eyes and pointy ears like an elf that resembled a character from the "Gargoyles" series that Emily did know. The girl was also wearing a fushia pink sleeveless shirt with a grey vest over it, pale blue shorts and light and dark shades of fushia striped stockings and dark fushia pink ankle boots and wrist bands.

"Yeah, Name's Cornelia!" said the strange girl as she shook Emily's hand, "Fairy! Elf! Shape Shifter! Trickster! We 3rd racers are all the same thing! Yes, that means I am a Child of Lord Oberon on Queen Titania! The "Baby" of the whole 3rd Race Family infact! But due to being the youngest, my powers do currently have more limits and still have'nt developed yet, so I hope you don't expect much! But I do have some great main powers that have come already!-"

"Yeah, Yeah! we get the idea already Cornie!" said Donald a bit impatiently

Lexington laughed a bit before whispering to Emily, "Cornelia Is Nice, the only problem beside's her trickster habits is that she tends to run her mouth all day like a radiator on Rocket fuel!"

"I heard that!" said Cornelia with a glare

"Alright guys! Lets head into the dining hall, dinners going to be brought out any time now!" said Elisa

"Well said Elisa!" said Mickey as whole groups now walked down the hallway Emily saw all the Disney Characters going down

"You'll be sitting with Me and the other 3 kids!" said Cornelia to Emily

"And our table will be right next to yours darling!" said Angela to Emily


After a while of walking down the hall, Emily now saw a large doorway with 2 large open doors. Inside was a large lovely dining hall indeed, and Every Disney character in Disney History were all present in this room. There were assigned tables for certain characters everywhere, Emily even noticed how some areas were custom for specific characters, such as a large indoor pond for Ariel's mermaid Family and other under water characters, and there was even an area for all of the regular animal characters. It was almost like the show "House of Mouse", only bigger and grander.

"Hold your applause 'till you see the Ballroom Upstairs!" said Cornelia

Cornelia and the Clan led Emily to a table where 3 unfamiliar children were sitting. Both around Emily's age. One boy who was African American with short black hair and dark brown eyes and was wearing a navy blue long sleeved shirt with a white button up collar, golden rod cargo pants, and black sneakers. One girl with wavy medium length auburn red hair and green eyes and was wearing large and thick red framed glasses due to poor eyesight and a white blouse with a wool purple and green vest over it, light blue jeans, and black and white converse sneakers. And another boy who was quite fat with light brown hair and pale blue eyes and was wearing a light blue button up short sleeved shirt, brown slacks, and black shoes.

"Hey Kids!" said Broadway to the kids, " We got a New Girl in the group! This is Emily!"

Cornelia then introduced Emily to the kids.

"The first Boy's Charlie! Though I personally Like to call him Chuck!" said Cornelia, smirking mischievously at the last part, " And That's Agatha, we all call her Aggie! And the big guy from England here's Jerimiah, we call him Jerry!"

"Hello!" said Jerry in his English accent

"Hi!" said Agatha

"What's Up!" said Charlie

Emily just waved shyly

"Ah don't worry, we don't Bite!" said Cornelia

"Though Cornie here can sometimes!" joked Charlie

"Metaphorically Speaking of course!" added Agatha


Then just as Emily and Cornelia took their seats, the room became quiet as the last 2 characters in the Building came into the dining hall. One of them was non other than Maleficent herself, who simply walked in calmly and proudly like a queen, and the other was Thailog, Goliath's Evil clone who cloaked his wings as he came in with a bit of an evil smug expression. Both Villains glanced around as though they owned the place, which thankfully they didn't, and while Maleficent headed straight for her table in the villains section of the room, Thailog decided to take a longer stroll to his own table there, which allowed him to either bowingly nod or "Politely" greet which other characters that happened to be there, only to receive either glares or looks of fear back, which Thailog enjoyed the most.

"Yeah, one of the first things to know about the Villains here besides that they all live in the basement" whispered Cornelia to Emily, " In their little... "Social Pyramid", all the villains look up to Maleficent as their leader! And Thailog There's her Second in Command, Or "Knave" as he sometimes likes to dub himself!"

"Aye, and there be a reason for that based on what Brooklyn and Cornelia told us!" said Jerry

"Shh, He's coming this way!" Charlie said quickly

And sure enough, Thailog was indeed walking pass the children's table, casting a seemingly long glance at them, especially at Emily since she was new. The kids just kept quiet and stared a bit nervously, especially Emily.

"Good Evening children!" said Thailog in a "calm" tone with a nod, but with an evil smirk, which did'nt even falter when the Manhattan Clan cast him glares and some warning growls

Once Thailog finally made it to his table on the Villains side of the room, the kids took a silent breath of relief. Though Emily still was a little spooked, both Maleficent and Thailog were even more scary in person.


 After every character settled in their places, everyone then turned their attention to the steep stage that was here in the room as Mickey himself appeared on it.

"Evening Everyone!" greeted Mickey, " As I'm sure you've all heard, another kid has been granted passage here and is now here to stay with us with the others! So do give a warm welcome to Emily Sidders!"

A spotlight then came and shined on Emily where she sat, while all the characters were gently applauding. Emily looked like a deer in headlights as she shyly waved with a nervous smile. Luckily for her all that ended as the buffet tables were wheeled out by the Penguin Waiters from "Mary Poppins", and once they were, everyone got up to get their dinners.

"Oh good, I'm really hungry!" said Jerry

" Dude, you're ALWAYS Hungry!" said Charlie

"So's Broadway!" said Jerry

And sure enough, Broadway was gathering a whole bunch of food onto his tray while Angela shook her head fondly at her mate.

"C'mon, let's just get some food!" said Cornelia


The Buffet tables were filled with so many selections of all kinds of food. Some of the selections were even specifically custom for specific Disney characters. Though it also included a table full of gruesome and dark looking things to eat.

"Yeah, first bit of advice!" begun Cornelia, " NEVER get anything from the villains tables! I'd know, one time I tried a bowl of soup from there and my gut was on Fire for a Day and a half! I think it was preference for Hades! The Stuff was like ACID!"

"And based on how you described it, it sounded like Citric Acid! Would'nt be surprised if it made a hole if you poured it on a concrete floor!" said Agatha

"Yeah, Aggie here's the smart kid among us!" Charlie said to Emily who nodded

Once the children picked out their food, they headed back to their table with their trays. As they did, Emily then took a curious glance at the Villains side of the room.


 It was a bit darker compared to the rest of the dining hall, or any other part of the building she's seen so far. As every Disney character was present in this room, it was the same thing with the villains, from the most popular and well known ones to the less. Many of them were gazing at the small girl, as they have been since they came in, some with glares of annoyance and suspicion and others who looked as though they were studying her, but not for good reasons. Which ever it was, the villains eyes were following her like a flock of vultures towards a dying prey waiting for it to drop. That was enough for Emily, who quickly avoided eye contact with the villains and hurried over to her table, unaware that this made some of the villains instantly amused and silently snicker. Emily may've gotten to the table last, but the kids and the gargoyles saw what happened.

"Don't feel bad, they're like that around us too!" said Charlie

"Yeah, but don't worry kid, just stay close to us and we'll protect you!" said Broadway

Brooklyn then smirked with a mischievous look, " And do I have plenty of stories about the villains to tell you!"

But then Brooklyn froze as he heard Angela clear her throat, and winced when he saw her and even Goliath and Hudson with disapproving glares.

" What Have we Talked about telling scary stories about the Villains to the Children Brooklyn?!" said Angela

"Just Trying to keep them Away from the bad guys while fooling!" Brooklyn said a bit sheepishly
